Beginnings:
A native of Massachusetts she was greatly influenced by the gentle beauty of its landscape, its revolutionary history and the spiritual and artistic cultures she encountered in western MA, the Berkshire hills, Northampton and the Cambridge area.
Her childhood days spent by the ocean in Gloucester, a seaside town on the coast north of Boston, inspired a lifelong connection to the deep, mystical aspects of the sea and its relationship to the inner realms. She feels a kinship with mermaids, mythical beings, saints, spiritual practices and world mythologies which inspire us to create our lives as works of art and beauty grounded in love and service.
She moved to the redwood forested coast of northern California in 1986 and found there and through her travels, the golden threads her life was destined to be woven from - the awareness of soul, the harp and the healing arts.
She discovered the Celtic harp at a healer's gathering held at Trillium Farm in southern Oregon during the Summer of 1987. She was profoundly moved by seeing and hearing the harp for the first time. The purity of the sound drew her into a deep state of contemplation through which came a recognition of the harp as a major part of her life's work.
A few months later she discovered the ecstatic poetry of Rumi, 13th century mystic, while at a gathering one snowy night in the mountains of Taos, New Mexico, and again felt a deep sense of recognition and purpose. She realized another piece of her life's work was to perform and sing Rumi's sacred text with original music on the harp.
During her time living in California she also discovered massage therapy and energy work and was propelled into a life devoted to exploring and sharing the healing and contemplative arts.
More gifts:
In 2000 she was introduced to the Labyrinth and found yet another setting to play music in which facilitated people's cultivation of their connection to the Divine. She developed a beautiful partnership with the Labyrinth Guild of New England in which she played for monthly walks for many years and accompanied them to France in 2003 to play at Chartres Cathedral.
In 2004 she was invited to play with an international group of musicians at the United Nations in New York at a Concert for Peace. She had previously played for the U.N. sponsored "Symposium on the Unity and Diversity of the World's Religions" which took place in Los Angeles in 1995.
Her passion for sharing her music has led her to play at numerous locations all over the United States, Canada and France. She has performed in churches, temples, cathedrals, chapels, performing arts centers, theatres, yoga studios, healing centers, hospitals, universities, museums, sacred groves and mountaintops. Her music has been featured on television in Toronto and New England.
Presently:
Christine resides along the majestic edge of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado, a mermaid in the mountains. Through Sound Temple Music and Healing Arts she creates and performs sacred music concerts, plays for labyrinth walks and rites of passage, teaches harp, composes music, produces CD's and offers healing sessions.

Performances:
Christine's concerts create a profound experience of heart and soul. They are a journey on the sound current, an opportunity for complete immersion into the healing vibrations of her harp and voice. They are a haven of the sacred, a sound temple, opening access to the deepest chambers of the heart - a place of peace, solace and inspiration. A place where Soul can remember Its origins and be nourished at a level beyond words - the place of being. Your imagination will be carried aloft, opened and ignited by the exquisite spiritual imagery of Rumi's verse and Christine's original songs which express a deep love for the Divine.
All of the music is played with a sacred intent, drawing on universal, archetypal themes. She is often joined by her partner Kem Stralka and other outstanding improvisational musicians.
Labyrinth Walks:
Walking the Labyrinth is an ancient contemplative practice held sacred by numerous cultures east and west. A walking meditation, it is an opportunity to let go, listen deeply and traverse your inner landscape.
Please see the Calendar for upcoming performances and labyrinth walks.

Harp Lessons:
Cultivate your own relationship with this magical instrument. Christine loves to teach both children and adults. You will learn how to develop your musicianship, playing by ear/memory, note reading, improvisation and about the healing qualities of the harp. See links page for harp rental info.
Healing Sessions:
Peace, well-being and deep relaxation are qualities that characterize Christine's sessions. She combines the pure sound of the harp with Acutonics (a Sound Healing modality with roots in Acupuncture, Vibrational Medicine and Unified Field Theory using specially calibrated tuning forks), her voice and other instruments, Reiki and Bodywork (Swedish and Kripalu Massage, Deep-tissue Work, and Myofascial Release).
She masterfully blends these elements to serve the current needs of each individual she works with. Her work is contemplative, intuitive, transformational and profoundly relaxing. She is also highly adept at relieving pain.
Your session will be a unique creation focusing on which-ever aspects of your being you would like. In a co-creative partnership with Christine you are invited to bring forth an intention for your work together, the presence of Divine Love, the ultimate healer, is invited in and your session begins.
She has been a Certified Massage Therapist since 1989, is a Reiki Master Practitioner, a current member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, a founding member of the New England Sound Healing Research Institute (NESHRI - now known as The Sound Healing Network), a current member of the Sound Healers Association and the Healing Music Organization.
She is a graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA. In the early years of her life as a healing arts practitioner she worked at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, both in Lenox, MA, two of the leading holistic healing centers in the U.S. She began a private practice in 1990 and today passionately continues sharing her gifts and expanding her studies in healing with sound, energy and bodywork.
She has spent a lifetime developing a deep, inner relationship with the Divine and sees all of life as a metaphor for that relationship. Her contemplative practices have gifted her with a deep state of stillness which she is able to transmit directly to others through her touch.
